#Foodwastefriday with the Seven valleys food rescue newsletter

Happy #FoodWasteFriday!

We know that 40% of all food is wasted yearly with the highest amounts of food waste occurring throughout the holidays. With the potential for so much wasted food right around the corner, now is the perfect time to pick up some new tricks to reduce your at-home food waste! Who better to get food waste information from than Seven Valleys Food Rescue?

In this edition of our newsletter, we highlighted composting as a way to reduce at-home food waste. There are a ton of different ways to compost and you do not need a huge backyard to be a successful composter! Read all of the reasons you should try composting in our newsletter and don’t forget to check out Crown City Composters, also on Facebook.

The newsletter also features information on volunteering with Seven Valleys Food Rescue. We could not complete the work we do without the help of so many awesome community members! Read the newsletter for yourself using the links below.
